Cincinnati Playwrights Group Announces Competition Winners, February New Voices Reading, and New Officers

Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative has appear the winners of its anniversary competition, the February New Voices Reading, and its new officers.

Cincinnati, OH -- Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative (CPI) is admiring to advertise the winners of the 2005 CPI Developmental Workshop Series Competition. This year's acceptable playwrights are: First place: Chuck Sambuchino, for his play Scorched Earth; Second place: E. Trach, for his agreeable advantaged Sugar and Spice; and Honorable Mention: Renee Alper, for her play advantaged Roll Model. A console of board comprised of actors, directors, and producers from the greater Cincinnati across called the award-winning plays. Scorched Earth and Sugar and Spice will accept branch productions at bounded venues and times to be announced.

The CPI New Voices Series of date readings continues with An Evening of Two One-acts on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. A Debt to Football by Roger Brookfield, and Mourning View by Denise Stoner will be presented at the Fifth Third Bank Theatre Aronoff Center for the Arts, bend of Main St. and 7th Street. The anew adopted Executive Board Officers for CPI are Phil Paradise, President; Pauline Smolin, Vice President; Denise Stoner Barone, Secretary; and Alan Jozwiak, Treasurer.

Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative is a grassroots arts alignment of bounded playwrights, admiral and actors adherent to bringing new plays by bounded playwrights to the Cincinnati stage.
